WineBlind Terms of Service
Version dated 15 October 2026, effective upon publication on WineBlind.
1. Service provider and contact details
WineBlind is a project operated by Tecla Disciplinada - Unipessoal Lda, Portuguese tax identification number 517158213, with registered office at Rua Norton de Matos, No. 48, Ground Floor, 7005-563 Évora, Portugal. Purchases made through Stripe are made from Tecla Disciplinada, which sells the service and issues the corresponding invoices.
For questions about the service, purchases, refunds or account closure, contact wineblind.mail@gmail.com.
2. The service
WineBlind allows users to organize and attend wine tastings, manage invitations and wines, and record ratings and notes. Available features depend on the account type, plan and credits purchased.
Automated wine suggestions may contain errors. Users should verify relevant information before using or sharing it.
3. Account, age and acceptance
The platform is intended for people aged 18 or over. Users must provide an accurate date of birth, keep the information required for their account current, protect their credentials and report suspected unauthorized access.
Users may sign in with their account credentials or through Google. When an account does not contain a valid date of birth, WineBlind requests the required authorization and imports it automatically from Google to verify whether the user is at least 18. If Google does not provide a complete and valid date, the user must enter it through a form. A date showing that the user is under 18 prevents access to the platform. Gender is optional and may be entered manually or imported under its own authorization.
During registration or completion of Google access, users are asked to accept these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. Existing accounts receive a notice asking them to review and confirm the documents when they take effect. WineBlind records the version and date of that confirmation. Gender import requires separate authorization.
4. Use and content
Users must use the service lawfully and respect the rights of others. They must not access another person's account, bypass restrictions, interfere with security or send abusive invitations.
Users retain their rights in the content they provide and must be authorized to share photographs, text and other materials. Users authorize WineBlind to process and display that content to the extent needed for requested features, including showing notes and ratings to tasting participants.
Organizers are responsible for the details, conditions and conduct of the events they create. Using the platform does not replace compliance with rules applicable to events and alcohol consumption.
5. Purchases, credits and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe. Before confirming a purchase, review the characteristics, total price and conditions shown for the product or plan. Invoices are issued by Tecla Disciplinada - Unipessoal Lda using the invoicing information provided.
Credit packages are one-off purchases. One credit is used when an event is created if free use or another form of access does not cover that creation. Credits do not expire while the account remains active.
Cancellation or deletion of an event by the user does not restore the credit used. Deleting the account results in the loss of remaining credits, without prejudice to applicable statutory rights and refunds due because of service failures.
We accept refund requests when the problem relates to our operation or the service provided. Send the purchase identification and a description of the problem to wineblind.mail@gmail.com for review and resolution.
These conditions do not limit mandatory consumer rights, including withdrawal, service conformity and refunds required by law. The rule that credits are not restored following cancellation does not override those rights.
For distance contracts covered by the right of withdrawal, the consumer generally has 14 days after entering into the contract to exercise that right without giving a reason, by sending an unambiguous statement to the email or postal address above. Using credits is not, by itself, treated as an automatic waiver of that right. Any exception or charge depends on the conditions and declarations required by applicable law.
You may use the following statement: “I hereby give notice that I withdraw from the contract concerning purchase [identification], entered into on [date]. Name: [name]. Address: [address]. Date: [date].” Add your signature if you send it on paper. Use of this wording is optional.
The conditions for business plans or subscriptions are presented before purchase, including price, billing period and cancellation terms.
6. Account closure and access restrictions
You may request account closure at wineblind.mail@gmail.com. Requests are handled manually. Data deletion and mandatory document retention follow the Privacy Policy. When processing the request, we also check any associated recurring charges to ensure their cancellation where applicable.
WineBlind may restrict access proportionately when necessary to prevent unlawful use, protect security or enforce these Terms. Where possible, WineBlind will communicate the reason and provide a contact for clarification. A restriction does not affect statutory rights relating to paid services.
7. Availability and changes
The service may require maintenance periods and depends on external providers for some features. Material changes to the conditions will be communicated to affected users before they take effect where required by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liabilities or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Privacy and complaints
The Privacy Policy explains the data processed, purposes, providers, retention and user rights: https://wine-blind.com/en/privacy/.
Questions and complaints may be sent to wineblind.mail@gmail.com. In a consumer dispute, you may contact CNIACC — Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo, whose territorial coverage includes Évora, subject to its jurisdiction: https://www.cniacc.pt/. More information about alternative dispute resolution is available at https://www.consumidor.gov.pt/.
These Terms do not prevent recourse to competent authorities or courts and do not limit mandatory consumer rights. The current version is available at https://wine-blind.com/en/terms/.
